Benefits & Objectives of the Human Resource Practitioners Network

The Network aims to strengthen human resource management in the public sector through collaboration, capacity building, and policy influence both in Kenya and across Africa. Key objectives include:

Networking & Collaboration: Promote networking, benchmarking, and collaboration of HR practitioners across Kenya and Africa.
Professional Excellence: Promote excellence, integrity, and standards in HR management.
Best Practices: Share HR best practices to improve public service delivery.
Tools & Resources: Provide tools, models, and data to enhance HRM programs.
Capacity Building: Support learning and certification via HRMPEB and global institutions.
Strategic Positioning: Advocate for HR as a key partner in governance and reform.
Policy Influence: Form a consortium to shape HR legislation and strategies.
Continental Commitment: Support African public service frameworks like the Charter.
Advocacy: Be the voice of HR practitioners in the Kenyan public sector.
Welfare & Interests: Safeguard HR practitioners' welfare with IHRM partnership.
County Networks: Promote HR support at county level across public sectors.

Membership Options

Choose Your Membership Type

Individual Membership

Open to individuals of good standing in the community whose profession and activities serve to promote the Network’s interests. Members must be HR practitioners in the Public Sector in Kenya.

Corporate Membership

Open to HR Practitioners working for the National Government, County Governments, State Corporations, Independent Commissions, and other public organizations in Kenya.

Honorary Membership

Conferred to individuals who have made distinguished contributions to the growth and excellence of the HR profession or the Network’s mission.
